EthaEarn is a global loyalty programme, built as a Shopify plugin, that any merchant, of any scale can install and join.

We offer the advantages of a multi-merchant coalition-style loyalty programme without the Boomer stigma associated with points. Attracting younger customers with greater flexibility and value, an open marketi digital asset, rather than points that are decaying in credibility.

EthaEarn offers merchants an integrated programme to enrich their store and customer experience, nothing cookies based, cash-back or tacky affiliate about it.

MONEY FLOW

Merchants set the % of reward offered. Rewards are charged as a commission-based subscription fee (US$) for our Shopify App. We keep 5% of the customer's reward as a cost of the service.

With over 4.6M live Shopify stores, and $137 Billion p/annum in consumer spend, the Shopify ecosystem currently has no coalition loyalty programmes accross stores. EthaEarn will launch exclusively on Shopify and scale to achieve profitability from capturing at least 1% of GMV.

With future growth potential from further expansion of the plugin into other eCommerce platforms and custom integrations.

Accessing The Competition

  • BUY NOW, PAY LATER PARADOX

    According to Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) Research, BNPL users were more likely to experience financial stress compared to the general population. Platforms such as Afterpay, offer financing utility and they also are a new customer acquisition tool. However, a palpable sense of discontent is emerging as wreaks havoc on developing financial habits of young consumers. EthaEarn isn't about replacing BNPL, but a social responsibility to offer consumers a smarter option.

  • SINGLE STORE LOYALTY

    The problem with single store loyalty programmes is the diminishing and cannibalising ROI. Merchants award the greatest discounts to their most loyal customers thus reducing their lifetime value potential. Shopify App Smile, can cost up to US$999 p/annum plus all the discounts and free product/services given back to the customer. EthaEarn has no base membership fee and a fixed amount of % rebate set at the product level. Therefore the longer a customer shops with the merchant, it's the open market of Ether that brings them greater and more value. Win Win.

  • CASH-BACK IS CRINGE

    Cash-back and affiliate schemes rely on outdated methods such as cookies, browser plugins, and credit cards for conversion, despite the diminishing brand value of these approaches. Moreover, they afford merchants little control over brand messaging and fail to foster sustained customer engagement.

  • LEGAL

    EthaEarn is currently undergoing legal council with MinterEllisonRuddWatts. The objective is to form a legal position on regulatory requirements. EthaEarn will launch with a commitment towards compliance accross all relevant regulatory areas such as (but not limited to) anti-money laundering, customer due diligence and other requirements as set by the New Zealand Financial Markets Authority (FMA).

  • INTEGRATION WITH SHOPIFY

    EthaEarn is a Shopify partner, providing a plugin in the Shopify App Store. It seamlessly integrates into the merchant's store giving them access to a dashboard to set and view their commission payouts. And providing a user sign up/in experience on the transaction confirmation page.

  • CURRENT STATUS

    EthaEarn is currently co funded between founders and Callighan Innovation (a NZ Government Fund). Development is in scoping phases with Shopify and Web3 developers engaged. Ethanet, the first merchant to use the EthaEarn Shopify plugin, has launched a waitlist campaign. Ethanet is a sister brand the founders are launching alongside EthaEarn to provide investors with evidence of commercial viability.
